Teaching Design教学设计Teaching materialUnit 8 Comic strip and welcome to the unit Teaching analysis My students are all from the countryside, most of them work hard on English, but usually they dont get high grades in exams, compared to many other classes in our district. There are many reasons for it. So in this listening and speaking period, I would like to focus on the materials in the textbook. I probably have set some goals that are not as difficult as other teachers. I just want to make them able to memorize several new words and phrases and to be able to read aloud the main part of the text. I think that is proper ,practical and good for my students. Teaching objectivesLanguage knowledge objectives语言知识目标(四会)wordsdig;serious ; wise;phrases take shorter showers; turn off(三会)breadfruit;reduce;recycle.Language skill objectives(语言技能目标)听listen and understand the new words,phrases and sentences in the lesson。说say a few sentences about how to live a green life.读read aloud the the new words,phrases and sentences.写Can write correct words ; Homework to write a passage with the title how to live a green lifeEmotional objectives(情感态度目标)1、Be interested in English learning and would like to participate.2、Know some expressions about how to live a green life 3、Want to take action to protect the environment.Important points and difficult pointsMemorizing new words and phrases is important while reading aloud some sentences in part A and B fluently is difficult. Teaching preparationIn-class tests70 copies ,PPT,a trowel,etc. Teaching procedures Step 1 Greeting and warming up1 Twave to the classhello,everyoneSswave to meand reply hello,Ms Luo2 TIntroduce the topic “a green world”,explain the word ”green”T plays a video about paper and homework.Ss watch the video.T and Ss talk about the video.THow can we live a green life show some pictures on PPT about using less paper and plant more treesSsuse less paper and plant more trees.TWhat else can we do to live a green lifeshow two pictures about recycling wasteSsWe can recycle waste.Tteach the word “recycle”T show a piece of news about recycling waste.
