义务教育教科书 英语English(三年级起点 六年级下册)Unit 4 Road safetyGrammar time Fun time(教学设计)Teaching contents本节课为江苏译林英语教材6B Unit4 Road safety第二课时Grammar time Fun time板块教学。其中Grammar time归纳了情态动词must及其否定形式mustnt的用法,并再次呈现含有can和cant的句子;Fun time板块是一个关于安全行路的知识问答游戏,要求学生小组活动,一人充当小交警,进行提问,其他学生用must和mustnt表达在马路上行走时要注意的事项,即必须做的事情和不能做的事情。Analysis of the students授课对象为小学六年级学生,他们通过六年的英语学习,已经具备了一定的口语表达能力和阅读能力,同时具备初步的语法辨别和归纳能力。由于从一年级就开始接触英语,大部分学生具备了一般的语言输出技能,包括情境创设下他们重组输出语言的能力。到了高年级之后,特别是新改版的教材加入了语法板块,对于语法方面显得不是很娴熟学生,传统的“讲解练习”模式无法将这些学生语法的学习兴趣和语法知识内化为语言的运用,这需要老师能够创造机会,让学生体验学习语言和互相交流的快乐,激发学生的参与热情,从而促进其语言运用能力的提高。Teaching aims and learning objectives1.能对Story time进行自主复习,并认识更多交通标志,掌握安全知识,做遵守交通规则的社会公民。2.能理解并运用情态动词must及其否定must not(mustnt) 的用法,复习已学过的情态动词canshould及否定用法。3.能使用更多关于规则和规定的表达法,如Please Dont Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty1.认识更多交通标志,掌握安全知识,做遵守交通规则的社会公民。2.能理解并运用情态动词must及其否定must not(mustnt) 的用法,复习已学过的情态动词canshould及否定用法。3.情感态度和价值观目标在比较、归纳、游戏、小组合作中体会语法学习的快乐,并在此过程中培养其语言表达能力。在最后归纳提升时突出rules的强大。Teaching aidsPPT演示文稿、关于rules视频剪辑、单词卡片。Teaching proceduresStep1Review and lead in复习Story time,激发学生的储备知识。学生根据已学的story及图片作答。T What do you know from Story timeS1I know how can we cross the road safelyS2 I know what must we not do on the roadTNow lets focus on the first questionHow can we cross the road safely板书S(略)教师板书We must/can/cannotT NextWhat must you not do on the roadS 略 教师板书 We mustntT Now lets read the key sentences together.设计意图老师就道路安全知识的话题引发学生表达,学生调动了自己的知识储备,通过自己思考并组织语言与教师交流。本环节是对 新手内容的预热。Step2Grammar time1.在复习Story time基础上总结道路安全规则,每句中含有情态动词must和can以及其否定形式。TWhat are these key sentences aboutS Traffic rules.2. 展示Grammar time更多含有must和can以及其否定形式的句子,自主发现语法规则。T When we talk about traffic rules,what words do we often useS can/cannot,must/mustntTGoodBoys and girls, please pay attention to these blue parts, we call them Modal Verbs in English.What do we use after Modal VerbsTYes,we use the original s of the Verbs.Now lets read together and try to feel the differences between “must”and“can”.TWhat are the differences between “must”and“can” What do you thinkTGreat “must”is stronger than“can”. “mustnt”also means “order sb not to do sth”.设计意图采取小组读、男生读、女生读和整体读的方式让全班学生整体过一遍这些句子,让学生自己发现这些句子中都含有一个共同的特征就是都含有情态动词must和can及其否定形式,并在老师的引导下进一步感知了“must”and“can”的区别,为后续的意义操练做好了铺垫。3.小组合作Looking For A Home,尝试区分must和can的含义和用法。TLook, Must and Can both have their home, and their children含有must和can的词条 are in my hand. Now lets work in groups, help them to find their own home.设计意图找房子活动是通过小组讨论,将手中的词条放进不同的房子。设计的目的就是让学生能够自发进行思考这两个情态动词的含义和用法, 通过讨论及贴词条的方式一是增强小组合作意识,二是增加活动的趣味性,避免了枯燥讲解方式,增加了学习的趣味性,且此活动容易做到,能够让学生获得成功体验。4.进一步引导学生结合语境,巩固Grammar time语法知识。TGood job. I see you can distinguish“must”and“can”very well.This time,lets try to choose suitable Modal verbs to describe more traffic rules.You can discuss in four first. 设计意图讲解语法知识时,采用“集中呈现对比分析巩固运用”的语法学习模式,即集中出现相关的语法知识,通过对比和归纳,引导学生梳理语法规则,并加以巩固和运用,达到强化目的。Step4Fun time1.本板块教学我在教参要求的基础上稍微进行了整合,即将此环节改编成更易于操作,也更生动活泼的“Pass the flower”游戏。此游戏规则为拿到花的同学,根据出示的场景,回答同学们问题,若不会可以寻求他人帮助。游戏转换了四个场景library,corridor,bookshop,museumTWell done You can use Modal verbs reasonably.Now lets pay a game about them. Firstly,open your books and turn to Fun time.Lets read it together.Is it interestingT Let me make it more interesting.Lets play another game,that is “pass the flower”. When the music stops, the student who gets the flower should answer the questions according to the language situation. Dont worry,if you cant do it,you can ask your classmates to help you.设计意图此游戏的创编,是师生将“书本上的游戏”化为“我们的游戏”,不仅仅是引导学生将情态动词再一次在新的语境下使用,而且在“Fun”的氛围下学生进行了“Learning by doing”,避免的机械无味的操练,激发学生参与的热情,鼓励学生自发的运用语言,学而不累,以达到其教学目的, 同时也为后续的语言操练活动做好了铺垫。2.通过Pair work,选择不同场景中不同的rules进行must和can 及其否定形式的操练。为使操练的有效,将不同场景编上不同的数字,首先让学生选择一个数字,老师再给予一个数字,通过现场即兴编对话。T Do you like this game Lets do more practice. Look , where are we nowS Oh, we are in/ at T What must we/ can we doS We must/canTWhat must we not/can we not doS We must not/cannotThen do it in pairs设计意图首先Pair work可以活跃课堂气氛,能够鼓励学生相互合作,充分发挥学生的主观能动性,培养学生创造性的运用能力。在不同情境中进行情态动词的语法操练,能够让学生亲身体验,理解不同情境中情态动词的不同用法,能够激发起学生的表达欲望,考察他们的掌握情况,锻炼他们运用语言的能力。Step5Consolidation.1. 让学生观看一段视频,此视频有五个场景,每个场景中都存在人们不遵守规则现象。TLets watch a video and tell me“Do the people follow the rules”2. 通过人们的不遵守规则,引导学生为他们制定规则,并向他们发出倡议遵守我们身边的规则,大家才能快乐生活。T Lets make rules for eating together.First,Discuss in groups.Then,write the sentences with modal verbs情态动词,the more the better越多越好。3.
